Conor Venture Partners Strengthens Its Presence in Sweden

Stefan Lindeberg Joins as Venture Partner

Espoo, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden – September 26, 2011 – Conor Venture Partners, a leading Nordic early-stage technology VC, announces opening of its new office in Stockholm and strengthening its team by inviting Mr. Stefan Lindeberg as a Venture Partner.

“Conor is already today an active investor in the Swedish market and opening an office in Stockholm and having Stefan onboard will further enhance our capabilities to work operatively with the most promising technology start-ups in Sweden. As our focus is in early stage, Stefan’s extensive experience in building technology start-ups complements our team very well. Stefan is a great fit to us with his hands-on working style and active dialog with the start-up community,” comments Jari Mieskonen, Managing Partner with Conor.

Stefan is already working with new investment opportunities and will especially support Conor’s present and future portfolio companies targeting strong global positions in their respective markets.

“I’m very enthusiastic to return to venture business and to join the Conor team in building a leading Nordic VC company while helping to build Nordic early stage companies”, says Stefan. “Having previously worked with the Conor team on several occasions, it was an easy decision for me to join them.”

Stefan has strong background from venture capital and was one of the founding partners at Creandum. In addition to having worked with tens of start-ups, Stefan has versatile experience from various managerial positions at global technology giants such as IBM, Cisco and Microsoft. Prior to joining Conor Stefan worked as Director of Emerging Business at Microsoft, building-up the start-up community around Microsoft.
